Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy
Digital preservation can be seen as the set of processes and activities that ensure information, which now exists in digital formats, is backed up and distributed to guarantee continued access for the long term. The Journal of Liminal Business Insights (JLBI), implements the following measures to safeguard its scholarly content:
Digital Repositories and Libraries
JLBI content is indexed and discoverable through multiple abstracting and indexing services. Each published article is assigned a DOI to ensure persistent identification and citation.
Digital Archiving Networks
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): JLBI content is harvested and preserved via the LOCKSS network.
- CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): The CLOCKSS system has permission to ingest, preserve, and serve JLBI content, ensuring long-term distributed preservation.
Self-Archiving
Authors are permitted to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional or subject-based repositories, on personal or departmental websites, or on academic networking platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), in compliance with the Creative Commons Attribution – 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0).
If the Journal Ceases Publication
In the unlikely event that JLBI stops publishing, all previously published content will remain accessible via the LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS archives, ensuring long-term availability and safeguarding the scholarly record.
